People need to pull their heads out of their arse about Kony. Everyone is so skeptical on the fact that it is a scam, and that military intervention isn’t the answer, and that it is has been set up by the US government as an excuse to invade Uganda. And then others say that Joseph Kony hasn’t been in power since 2006, and that he might not even be in Uganda.
That’s fair enough, some of that is true, and some of that is highly probable. But there is a chance that this video isn’t a bunch of shit, that it was made under the purest of intentions, and that showing compassion and raising awareness might actually get different governments talking around the world about a solution that could bring him down. It’s definitely worth a try.
Then there’s people who are all like “posting a video doesn’t mean you’re suddenly a humanitarian.” Eat a dick. No one’s claiming that, there just spreading awareness by sharing a video. And what’s wrong with people caring? Fuck off. The main purpose of the video was just for it to be spread to raise awareness, and that’s what people did. Fucking hipsters… “I used to care about the world and it’s problems, but now millions of others do, so now I hate it because it’s mainstream, and I’m a hipster.” -__-
What’s wrong with caring, and having some hope? I do have a feeling that it is a scam, and that the US will invade Uganda only to fuck shit up, but it’s nice to think that it could actually be a good thing, and that the US would bring Kony to justice. What is seriously wrong with trying, and sharing a video? Fuck.
